California DOJ Approves Fusion

May 29, 2026

B.O.S. Lock is proud to announce that the Fusion has been approved by the California Department of Justice and will soon be added to the state’s roster of approved firearm safety devices.

For many firearm owners, California is not typically viewed as the gold standard for firearms policy. We understand that perspective. However, when it comes to firearm safety devices, California’s testing requirements are among the most rigorous in the country. Approval requires manufacturers to demonstrate durability, resistance to tampering, and long-term reliability through independent testing.

The Fusion was designed to solve one of the biggest challenges firearm owners face: keeping a firearm secure from unauthorized access while maintaining immediate accessibility for the authorized user. California DOJ approval validates that the Fusion meets strict standards for material strength, lock integrity, and tamper resistance.

Unlike traditional storage options that often force gun owners to choose between security and accessibility, the Fusion combines biometric access, a weapon-mounted light, and an integrated laser into a single system designed to keep firearms protected from unauthorized access while remaining ready when needed by the owner.

The California DOJ approval provides additional confidence to retailers, law enforcement agencies, researchers, and firearm owners seeking safety products that have been independently evaluated against some of the most demanding standards in the industry.
